Consultations
Questions we often get asked
Q1: When should I see a psychiatrist?
If low mood, anxiety, sleep problems, or changes in behaviour are affecting your work, studies, relationships, or daily routine, it is worth seeking an assessment. You do not need a diagnosis before coming in.
Q2: How long is an appointment?
A first appointment takes longer, as a full history is needed. Follow-up reviews are shorter. How often you visit depends on your condition and treatment plan.
Q3: How do I book an appointment?
Appointments are booked by phone on +91 81059 49881, preferably one day before the appointment. Please call to confirm the current schedule and location before visiting.
Q4: Do you treat children and older adults?
Yes. Dr. Shreemit provides care for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, having completed specialised training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and in Geriatric Psychiatry.
Q5: What treatment approaches are used?
Treatment depends on your diagnosis and circumstances. It may include psychotherapy such as CBT, DBT, family therapy, or supportive psychotherapy, along with medication where clinically appropriate.
